Sankraman: Event information

Sankraman 2005 was a full day cultural event of Chitpavans from Mumbai, Pune and nearby areas. Chitpavans as far as from Nagpur also attended the event!

Date: Sunday, 06 February 2005

Time: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Dress code: Traditional Indian (preferred).

Nature of Programmes:
After formal inaugration of our programme, the compere presented the idea of "Sankraman", which basically means 'transition'. This was followed by introduction to the guests and the kattas. Artists from various kattas presented their shows - Music, Dance, Drama as group or solo performances.

Fundamental aim of the event was to facilitate interaction between Chitpavans from all walks of life. Plenty of time was allotted for networking and meeting friends and families.

Registration:
The registration fees for the event were Rs. 125/-
This included the lunch, tea and snacks

Multiple channels were opened for accepting registrations - local katta representatives, Thane Katta registration team, and for the first time "online registration system" on Natakticket dot com!
